Maker’s Mark Distillery is proud to announce their newest limited edition bottle which they have created topay homage to the 75th anniversary of Keeneland, a global leader in Thoroughbred horse auctions. It’s the 2011 Maker’s Mark Mile Commemorative Bottle that features a specially designed anniversary logo in gold and gold wax coating the top. It is on sale now, and all the proceeds from the sale of the bottle will benefit the Lee T. and Patsy Todd Jr. Development Fund for Music Outreach at UK’s School of Music. There will also be a bottle signing to be held tomorrow, that will be hosted by Maker’s Mark chief executive Bill Samuels Jr. and Lee Todd at Keeneland.

Designed by Fernando Altamirano, this 1.3-liter bottle is made from ceramic and has a 2.3-kilogram layer of platinum with more than 4,000 diamonds totaling 328 carats. He’s hoping that the “The Diamond Sterling, would sset a new Guinness World Record as the most expensive tequila bottle, which is valued at around $3.5 million.

Antarctic Nail Ale is now the World’s most expensive beer after a bottle of this beer was sold for $800 at an auction in Fremantle and only 30 bottles of the limited edition beer were brewed at the Nail Brewing headquarters at Edith Cowan University in Perth. This beer is made from Antarctic ice which came from the Sea Shepherds’ most recent trip to the Antarctic. This can also be the most purest beer ever since it is made from 90% water. John Stallwood, a brewer from Nail Brewing, said, “It is great to sell the most expensive bottle of beer in the world but it is all about a good cause. It is also good that a beer about saving the whales is now most expensive beer in the world rather than high alcohol beer sold in animal carcasses.”
