This may look like your ordinary bed but it’s not, for this is an earthquake-proof bed. Designed by Wang Wenxi, a 66-year-old Chinese man, this high-tech bed can turn into a strongbox to help people survive an earthquake. Both ends of the bed include cupboards and a high-load bearing board, that can be used to store stuff. In case of calamity or an earthquake, this bed can easily be transformed into a safe shelter for days before being rescued.
