Girard Perregaux, a luxury watch maker, has pulled the wraps off its new timepiece, called “ww.tc.” It is amde to pay tribute to legendary watchmaker John Harrison. John Harrison is best known for his H4, a watch that was used for calculating the longitude on any part of the earth’s surface. Limited to just 50 pieces only, the watch’s dial has various locations displayed on it, is made in the particular pattern in which Mr. Harrison’s son William, when he took a voyage on the Atlantic ocean to test the H-4 watch’s ability to measure the longitude of the earth, during the 18th century.
