Early this year, Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) concluded the “Honda 100K Challenge,” the first of its kind test-driving challenge in the country that involved tricycle drivers and “TODA” (tricycle operators and drivers association) groups here in the Philippines.

This one-of-a-kind event pioneered by HPI that started last November 2012 and took around almost 2 months to finish, was participated in by more than 100,000 tricycle drivers from hundreds of TODAs in the entire Luzon area, including parts of Visayas and Mindanao. They all test-drove the Honda TMX Supremo to find out for themselves how this machine can handle everyday driving conditions in any type of road surface.

This Magnolia Convertible Roadster is made by JT Nesbitt of Magnolia. He handcrafted this vintage convertible, which runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). He has buit the car following the designing guidelines of the 1930’s European style coupe convertibles, and that explains why the looks vintage and eco-friendly. Its body has a typical design of 1930’s car that is made from aluminum. It features a contrast black chassis, engine hood grills, a front of the engine hood that has two prominent blue set of stripes, and bespoken tires with golden rims, and a spare that is located on the back atop the luggage carrier. What’s inside is a white colored steering wheel with brown leather artwork, a dashboard that is polished in aluminum with blue dials, dark brown leather seats. It is powered by a 4-litre 6 cylinder engine, that can generate up to 200 HP of power.

BMW has unveiled its two new concept cars, for their BMW i Series line. It is the i3 and the i8 i-Series, wherein both models are designed with efficiency and eco-friendliness in mind. These models are electric and hybrid vehicles wherein the all-electric i3 is set to launch in 2013 while the i8 high-performance plug-in hybrid is set to launch in 2014. The i3 is a four-seat passenger type car that is spacious and comfortable while the i8 is a sports car that has an electric powertrain that is similar to the i3’s. TBA.

Finally, the chromed Audi R8 has been sold at the 13th edition of Sir Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball event for $400k. The event was held at Elton John’s home along with his partner David Furnish. The car is in a special chrome exterior finish, that is powered by a 5.2 liter engine, that is capable of producing 525 horsepower at 8000 Rpm. Other features include a rear view camera, signature LED headlamps, special six speed manual transmitter, and a Bluetooth seat-belt microphone. Jeremy Hicks, Audi UK’ director said, “Sir Elton John’s fundraising ball really is a golden ticket event that is as glamorous as it is hugely effective in fundraising terms.”

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is made by Volkswagen, and is said to be their fastest production car in the world. There were 300 limited edition units created and the last one seems to have a buyer from Europe. This car is blazing fast, thanks to its 8-liter 16-cylinder engine with quad turbo-charged mechanism, making the car cruise from 0-100 km/ph within a time span of 2.5 seconds. It has a top 407 km/ph and can generate a total of 987 Horsepower, and 1250 Nm of torque. The buyer is unnamed and the only thing we know about him/her is that, this will be his first car from Bugatti.
